Being a pagan, witch and or Wiccan is good for the environment.
That might be a secret to religions that don't know much about us. They might think we don't believe in a Divine Being, God to them and that we are nonbelievers. That is not so, we believe very much. We believe in the magical power of forces -- nature, universal ones. We believe in the beauty of earth, the planets and universe.
We, pagans, witches, and Wiccans touch the earth, dance around the beauty of nature singing praises to the life it give to us, the power and beauty of it. In return we are energized by it. This process helps us to have an awareness of how vulerable we are to the great power of Mother Earth and She can grow our life, muddle it up with rains, send us packing with quakes, tornados, all of her movements that are natural and distruptive to we frail humans. We are in awe.
Still, from nature one can learn about self and interaction with life on the planet. Both can life together and survive. Spells are cast using the forces of that energy and an clarity of life, self and how to forward our thoughts into creation occurs. Perhaps it will be us, the Wild Heathens -- that help save the planet for future generations. What do other religions, at least those in the Western world, do to preserve the world? Focusing on just saving souls isn't enough because there won't be anymore souls to save if the planet is not saved.
I hope that they, the other religions, start to teach their congregations to honor nature as we do because it'll be that act that will ttruly save souls. We are not evil or godless, we know that we are children of earth and want to keep Mother Nature happy so we can enjoy her beauty and splendor for a long time. To many of those who claim to be Christian, especially in our government, are destroying the planet -- for greed selfish purposes. The witches, pagans and Wiccans I know, in some way or another, respect the world by belonging and supporting all that keeps our planet safe. Join us in celebration of earth and care for nature for we are Mother Nature's guests upon Her planet.
Praise be to the Goddess! Blessed be the pagans, witches and Wiccan!! So Mote it Be.
